Comparison review
The Galaxy Alpha is slightly better than Huawei Mate 9, getting a global score of 76.3 against 73.4. The Galaxy Alpha is a somewhat thinner and notably lighter phone than Huawei Mate 9. The Galaxy Alpha and Huawei Mate 9 count with quite similar processing units, because although the Galaxy Alpha has a lower amount of RAM and a lower number of cores (although faster), it also counts with an extra graphics processor.
The Galaxy Alpha counts with a little sharper screen than Huawei Mate 9, although it has a really smaller screen, a bit worse display density and a lot worse resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Huawei Mate 9 has a way bigger storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that allows up to 256 GB and more internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha shoots much clearer photos and videos than Huawei Mate 9. Both have the same (4K) video quality, the same video frame rate, a same size aperture and a camera in the back with a 12 megapixels. The Huawei Mate 9 has a much better battery duration than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 115 percent greater battery capacity.
