Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Note5 is a bit better than the Huawei Mate 9, getting a overall score of 80.2 against 73.4. The Samsung Galaxy Note5 construction is lighter and a little bit thinner than Huawei Mate 9, although it was released just a bit further than a year before. Galaxy Note5 has a bit better screen than Huawei Mate 9, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a higher display density and a better resolution of 1440 x 2560px.
The Huawei Mate 9 features a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy Note5. Both have a Octa-Core processing unit and a 4 GB RAM. Huawei Mate 9 has much more memory capacity for apps and games than Galaxy Note5, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage, the Huawei Mate 9 also has a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 256 GB.
Galaxy Note5 features a lot better camera than Huawei Mate 9, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Note5 also has a back camera with much more megapixels, a bigger diafragm aperture to take better captures and video in low light situations and a larger back-facing camera sensor providing a higher image quality.
The Huawei Mate 9 has greater battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Note5, because it has a 4000mAh battery size instead of 3000mAh.
