The Galaxy S8 Active has a general score of 81.9, which is much better than Huawei Mate 9's 73.4 global score. Despite being the best in this comparison review, we must note that it is also a just a little heavier and extremely thicker device. The Huawei Mate 9 has a little faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. They have 8 processing cores and 4 GB of RAM.
Galaxy S8 Active features a sharper display than Huawei Mate 9, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution and way more pixels per inch in the display. Galaxy S8 Active has as much storage to install applications and games as the Huawei Mate 9 one, both of them have equal 64 GB internal memory capacity and an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB.
The Galaxy S8 Active features a much better camera than Huawei Mate 9, and although they both have the same (4K) video quality, a same resolution camera in the back and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy S8 Active also has a bigger back camera sensor providing a higher image quality and a much larger diafragm aperture to take better captures and video in low light environments.
Galaxy S8 Active's battery lifetime is very similar to the Huawei Mate 9 one.
