Sony Xperia 5 III has a score of 90.5, which is way better than the Huawei Mate 9's 73.4 global score. The Sony Xperia 5 III body is way newer and lighter, but just a bit thicker than the Huawei Mate 9. Xperia 5 III features a bit better processing unit than Huawei Mate 9, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xperia 5 III also has more RAM memory.
The Xperia 5 III features a slightly better looking display than Huawei Mate 9, because it has a little bit higher pixels number in each inch in the screen, a bit higher 1080 x 2520 resolution and a little bigger screen. The Xperia 5 III features a much better camera than Huawei Mate 9, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the same video frame rates and a same resolution back facing camera, the Xperia 5 III also has a lot bigger diafragm aperture to capture better low-light captures and video and a lot bigger camera sensor.
