Xperia XZ Premium has an overall score of 79.8, which is just a bit better than Huawei Mate 9's score of 73.4. The Xperia XZ Premium construction has the same thickness than Huawei Mate 9, but it is just a little heavier. Xperia XZ Premium's CPU is very similar to Huawei Mate 9's processor, they have a Octa-Core processor and a 4 GB RAM.
The Xperia XZ Premium has a much sharper screen than Huawei Mate 9, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot greater number of pixels per inch of display and a way better 2160 x 3840 resolution. Sony Xperia XZ Premium's memory capacity for apps and games is very similar to the Huawei Mate 9 one, they have a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 256 GB and exactly the same 64 GB internal storage.
The Huawei Mate 9 features better battery lifetime than Xperia XZ Premium, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity. Xperia XZ Premium captures way better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 9, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same video definition, the Xperia XZ Premium also has a larger camera aperture for better captures and video in poorly lited situations, a lot more mega-pixels camera and a much bigger camera sensor which provides a much higher photo and video quality.
