The Sony Xperia Z5 has a global score of 77.6, which is a little bit better than Huawei Mate 9's overall score of 73.4. Sony Xperia Z5's design is lighter and a little bit thinner than Huawei Mate 9, even though it was released a little bit further than a year before. The Xperia Z5 counts with a sharper screen than Huawei Mate 9, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1920 x 1080px, the Xperia Z5 also counts with a little more pixels per inch in the screen.
Huawei Mate 9 counts with a much better memory capacity to store more games and applications than Xperia Z5, because it has 64 GB internal storage and a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 256 GB. The Xperia Z5's CPU is very similar to the Huawei Mate 9 one, because although the Xperia Z5 has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, it also counts with a graphics co-processor.
The Huawei Mate 9 has a very superior battery performance than Xperia Z5, because it has a 4000mAh battery size against 2900mAh. The Sony Xperia Z5 captures much better videos and photos than Huawei Mate 9, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Sony Xperia Z5 also has a way larger camera sensor shooting way better quality videos and photos, a larger camera aperture for better photography and video in low-light situations and a much more MP camera.
