Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 is slightly better than the Huawei Mate S, getting a score of 78.1 against 75.3. The Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 construction is notably newer than the Huawei Mate S's, but it is a bit heavier and way thicker. The Huawei Mate S counts with a bit superior CPU than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, although it has less RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores.
The Huawei Mate S has a bit better looking display than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, because it has more pixels per inch in the screen, a quite larger display and a better resolution of 1080 x 1920px. Galaxy XCover 5 has a much greater memory for apps and games than Huawei Mate S, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 1 TB.
Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 features a little better battery life than Huawei Mate S, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity against 2700mAh. The Galaxy XCover 5 counts with a camera that's very similar to the camera in Huawei Mate S, and although the Galaxy XCover 5 has a larger diafragm aperture to take better low-light photography and video and a more mega-pixels back facing camera, they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 video quality.
