The Xiaomi Mi Max is a little bit better than the Huawei Mate S, having a score of 77.5 against 75.3. Even being the best phone in this comparison review, the Xiaomi Mi Max design is a little bit thicker and notably heavier than the Huawei Mate S. The Huawei Mate S counts with a little sharper display than Xiaomi Mi Max, because although it has a bit smaller display, and they both have the same resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, the Huawei Mate S also counts with a just a bit higher amount of pixels per inch of screen.
The Huawei Mate S features a bit more powerful processor than Xiaomi Mi Max, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores. Xiaomi Mi Max captures clearer photos and videos than Huawei Mate S, and although they both have the same aperture, the Xiaomi Mi Max also has a lot higher video resolution and a more megapixels back facing camera.
The Xiaomi Mi Max has a much bigger memory for games and applications than Huawei Mate S, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Xiaomi Mi Max also has an external SD slot that admits up to 256 GB. Xiaomi Mi Max has a superior battery performance than Huawei Mate S, because it has an 80 percent larger battery capacity.
