Comparison review
The Huawei Mate X is much better than the HTC One M9, getting a score of 89.4 against 77.7. Both of these phones have Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei Mate X has newer 9.0 Pie version and HTC One M9 has Android 5.0. Even though the Huawei Mate X is noticeably newer than HTC One M9, it's way heavier and thicker.
The HTC One M9 counts with a little faster CPU than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have 8 cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with an additional graphics processing unit and a 64-bit CPU. The HTC One M9 features a brighter screen than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a way worse resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a lot smaller display, it also counts with a little bit higher screen density.
Huawei Mate X features a lot bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than HTC One M9, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal storage. Huawei Mate X has a very superior battery duration than HTC One M9, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 2840mAh.
HTC One M9 captures much clearer pictures and videos than Huawei Mate X, although it has a lot smaller back-facing camera sensor taking way worse quality images, a smaller aperture and a back camera with a lot lower 20 MP resolution.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as HTC One M9. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy HTC One M9, letting go a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
