Comparison review
Huawei Mate X is just a bit better than the Huawei P20 Pro, with a score of 89.4 against 81.4. Even though Huawei Mate X is newer than Huawei P20 Pro, it is thicker and much heavier. Both of these phones include Android OS (operating system), but Huawei Mate X has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Huawei P20 Pro has Android 10 version, so it gives a lot of extra features and increased performance.
Huawei Mate X has a bit more vivid screen than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has a just a bit greater pixels count per inch of display, a much higher resolution of 2200 x 2480 pixels and a much bigger screen. Huawei Mate X counts with a lot bigger storage for games and applications than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has 384 GB more internal memory.
The Huawei Mate X has a bit more powerful processing unit than Huawei P20 Pro, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Huawei Mate X also has 2 GB more RAM. The Huawei Mate X has a bit superior battery life than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
Huawei P20 Pro has a much better camera than Huawei Mate X, although it has a smaller back-facing camera sensor capturing less light and duller colors, they both have a F1.8 camera aperture and a same resolution camera in the back.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Huawei P20 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Huawei P20 Pro. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Huawei Mate X, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Huawei P20 Pro, resigning some specifications.
