Comparison review
The Huawei Mate X has a general score of 89.4, which is a bit better than the Huawei P40's general score of 86.4. Despite being the best phone we are comparing here, it must be noted that it is also a lot thicker and way heavier. Both phones we compare here include Android operating system, but Huawei Mate X has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Huawei P40 has Android 10 version, providing some extra features.
The Huawei P40 and Huawei Mate X both feature quite similar screens, because although the Huawei P40 has a way lower 1080 x 2340 resolution and a much smaller screen, it also counts with a bit higher pixel density. Huawei Mate X has much more storage for applications and games than Huawei P40, because it has 384 GB more internal memory.
The Huawei P40 counts with just a little better performance than Huawei Mate X, although it has 2 GB less RAM, they both have 8 processing cores. The Huawei Mate X features just a bit longer battery performance than Huawei P40, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 3800mAh. The Huawei P40 features a much better camera than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a tinier aperture, it also counts with a camera with a better 50 mega pixels resolution and a way bigger sensor.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Huawei P40, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei P40. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Huawei Mate X, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Huawei P40, letting go some features and specs.
