The Huawei Mate X is better than LG V40 ThinQ, getting an 89.4 score against 81.2. Both of these phones work with Android OS (Operating System), but Huawei Mate X has 9.0 Pie version while LG V40 ThinQ has Android 10, so it provides you a lot of extra features. The Huawei Mate X construction is newer, but heavier and thicker than the LG V40 ThinQ.

LG V40 ThinQ has a much better camera than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a way smaller camera sensor taking lot worse quality images and videos and a back-facing camera with lot less MP resolution, it also counts with a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better photography and video in poorly lited environments.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more money than LG V40 ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the LG V40 ThinQ. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Huawei Mate X, but if you don't you can save some money and get the LG V40 ThinQ, resigning a couple features and specifications.
