Huawei Mate X is much better than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, with a general score of 89.4 against 77.4. The Huawei Mate X design is noticeably newer, but noticeably thicker and incredibly heavier than the Motorola Moto Z2 Play. Huawei Mate X features a bit superior CPU than Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei Mate X also has more RAM.
The Huawei Mate X counts with a bit sharper screen than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because it has a little bit greater pixel number per inch of display, a way higher resolution of 2200 x 2480 and a really larger display. The Huawei Mate X has a much bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Moto Z2 Play, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory capacity.
Huawei Mate X features a superior battery duration than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a 4500mAh battery size. Motorola Moto Z2 Play counts with a slightly better camera than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a back camera with a much worse 12 MP resolution, it also counts with a larger aperture to take better low light images and videos.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Motorola Moto Z2 Play. If you want to save some money, you can get the Motorola Moto Z2 Play, letting go some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
