Huawei Mate X has a score of 89.4, which is better than the Motorola Moto Z3 Play's 76.3 global score. The Huawei Mate X design is newer, but way heavier and incredibly thicker than the Motorola Moto Z3 Play. Huawei Mate X has a slightly better looking display than Moto Z3 Play, because it has a much higher resolution of 2200 x 2480, a just a little greater pixels count per display inch and a much bigger screen.
The Huawei Mate X has a bit faster processor than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei Mate X also has 4 GB more RAM. Huawei Mate X counts with a superior storage to store more apps and games than Moto Z3 Play, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage.
Huawei Mate X features a much longer battery lifetime than Moto Z3 Play, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity instead of 3000mAh. Moto Z3 Play has a slightly better camera than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a back camera with a way worse resolution and a way smaller sensor, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture to take better photos and videos in poorly lited situations.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Motorola Moto Z3 Play. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get the Motorola Moto Z3 Play, and give up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
