The Huawei Mate X has a global score of 89.4, which is better than the OnePlus 8 Pro's score of 77.2. Even being the best we compare here, it must be noted that it is also much thicker and noticeably heavier. OnePlus 8 Pro has a brighter display than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a quite lower resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels and a little smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit greater pixels density.
The Huawei Mate X counts with a much greater storage capacity for games and applications than OnePlus 8 Pro, because it has 512 GB internal storage capacity. OnePlus 8 Pro features a bit more powerful processor than Huawei Mate X. Both of them have a 8 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores. OnePlus 8 Pro has a greater camera than Huawei Mate X, and although they both have a F1.8 aperture, the OnePlus 8 Pro also has a bigger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a back-facing camera with more megapixels.

If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the OnePlus 8 Pro, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
