Huawei Mate X has a score of 89.4, which is better than the Galaxy Note 5's global score of 79.3. Both phones in this review include Android operating system, but Huawei Mate X has newer 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy Note 5 has Android 5.1 version, providing you some additional features and performance improvements. The Huawei Mate X body is notably newer than Galaxy Note 5's, but it's much heavier and much thicker.

Huawei Mate X counts with a greater hardware performance than Galaxy Note 5, because it has 4 GB more RAM memory and a greater number of cores. The Galaxy Note 5 has a sharper display than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a really smaller screen and a bit lower resolution of 2560 x 1440px, it also counts with a just a bit better screen pixels density.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has a much better camera than Huawei Mate X, although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for capturing images and/or video in low-light environments, a much worse 16 megapixels resolution back camera and a lot tinier sensor. The Huawei Mate X features much more storage to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has 448 GB more internal storage capacity.

The Huawei Mate X counts with a way better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
