Comparison review
The Huawei Mate X is better than Galaxy S5, getting an 89.4 score against 80.8. Although Huawei Mate X is much newer than Galaxy S5, it's much heavier and extremely thicker. These phones include Android OS, but the Huawei Mate X has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy S5 has Android 4.4.2 version, so it gives you a couple nice extra features.
Huawei Mate X has a bit superior processor than Galaxy S5, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM and a larger number of cores. The Galaxy S5 has a better display than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a way lower resolution of 1920 x 1080px and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a better pixel density.
The Galaxy S5 features a better camera than Huawei Mate X, although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not favorable for low light images and video, a lot smaller camera sensor capturing way lower quality videos and pictures and a much worse 16 mega pixels resolution back-facing camera. Huawei Mate X features a superior storage for apps and games than Galaxy S5, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage.
The Huawei Mate X features a way better battery life than Samsung Galaxy S5, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy S5. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy S5, giving up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your money.
