Comparison review
Huawei Mate X has a global score of 89.4, which is better than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus's general score of 78.1. Both phones in this review use Android operating system, but the Huawei Mate X has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has Android 4.4.2, so it provides the user some extra features. Even though Huawei Mate X is notably newer than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, it is extremely thicker and noticeably heavier.
The Huawei Mate X counts with a bit superior CPU than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, it also counts with 6 GB more RAM memory and a larger number of cores. The Galaxy S5 Plus counts with a bit sharper display than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a lot smaller screen and a way worse resolution of 1920 x 1080px, it also counts with a just a little greater pixels quantity per inch of display.
Galaxy S5 Plus has a slightly better camera than Huawei Mate X, although it has a smaller aperture which is not good for low light photography, a lot worse resolution back facing camera and a lot smaller sensor which offers a much lower image and video quality. Huawei Mate X counts with a much bigger memory for games and applications than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 496 GB more internal memory capacity.
Huawei Mate X has a much better battery life than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a 61% larger battery size.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate X, else you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, giving up a couple specs and features.
