Comparison review
Huawei Mate X has a global score of 89.4, which is better than the Galaxy S6 Active's 80.9 general score. Both devices in this review come with Android OS (operating system), but Huawei Mate X has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy S6 Active has Android 5.0 version, providing a lot of extra features and a performance increase.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Active features a more vivid display than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a little lower 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution and a lot smaller display, it also counts with a better pixels density. The Galaxy S6 Active counts with a bit better performance than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have 8 processing cores, the Galaxy S6 Active also counts with a 64-bits processing unit and an extra graphics co-processor.
Huawei Mate X captures a bit better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, because it has a larger aperture to capture better photography in low-light situations, a lot bigger sensor capturing way higher quality pictures and a back-facing camera with a way higher 40 mega-pixels resolution.
Huawei Mate X features a very superior storage capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 480 GB more internal memory. The Huawei Mate X features greater battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, because it has a 4500mAh battery size instead of 3500mAh.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy S6 Active, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy S6 Active. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Huawei Mate X, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy S6 Active, giving up a couple specs and features.
