Huawei Mate X is better than Samsung Galaxy S7, getting an 89.4 score against 79.5. Although Huawei Mate X is much newer than Samsung Galaxy S7, it is noticeably thicker and way heavier. Huawei Mate X counts with a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy S7, because it has more cpu cores and a larger amount of RAM memory.
The Galaxy S7 counts with a much better display than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a little lower 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution and a really smaller display, it also counts with more pixels per screen inch. Samsung Galaxy S7 captures clearer photos and videos than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a camera in the back with much less mega pixels resolution and a way smaller back camera sensor capturing much worse quality videos and images, it also counts with a larger camera aperture to take better photos in poorly lited environments.
Huawei Mate X counts with a much greater storage to store more games and applications than Galaxy S7, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 480 GB more internal storage. Huawei Mate X features a much longer battery lifetime than Galaxy S7, because it has a 50% bigger battery size.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Samsung Galaxy S7, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy S7. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Huawei Mate X, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Samsung Galaxy S7, giving up some features and specifications.
