Comparison review
Huawei Mate X is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S8, getting a general score of 89.4 against 81.7. The Huawei Mate X is a much newer cellphone than Samsung Galaxy S8, although it's noticeably heavier and a lot thicker. Samsung Galaxy S8 counts with a bit more vivid display than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1440 x 2960px and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a better display pixel density.
The Huawei Mate X has a little faster CPU than Galaxy S8, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei Mate X also has 4 GB more RAM. The Samsung Galaxy S8 has a slightly better camera than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a camera in the back with a lot worse resolution and a much smaller back-facing camera sensor taking lot lower quality photographs, it also counts with a larger camera aperture.
The Huawei Mate X has a much bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy S8, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 448 GB more internal storage capacity. Huawei Mate X features a much better battery duration than Galaxy S8, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy S8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy S8. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Huawei Mate X, else you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy S8, letting go a couple specs and features.
