Huawei Mate X is a bit better than the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, with an 89.4 score against 82.2. Even though Huawei Mate X is extremely heavier than the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, it's a little thinner and also newer. Xperia XZ2 Premium features a bit superior CPU than Huawei Mate X, although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a much more vibrant screen than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better quantity of pixels per inch of screen and a higher resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels. The Huawei Mate X has much more storage to install games and applications than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory.
Xperia XZ2 Premium shoots better photographs and videos than Huawei Mate X, although it has a much tinier sensor taking lot lower quality videos and photos and a way less MP camera, they both have a same size aperture. The Huawei Mate X counts with improved battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity against 3540mAh.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xperia XZ2 Premium, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xperia XZ2 Premium. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Huawei Mate X, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Xperia XZ2 Premium, giving up some features and specs.
