Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max is a bit better than Huawei Mate X2, having a general score of 93.2 against 89.1. Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max has iOS 15.x OS, and Huawei Mate X2 counts with Android 10 OS. Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max is a a little thinner and lighter phone than Huawei Mate X2, although both of them were released with only 7 months difference.
IPhone 13 Pro Max counts with a bit better looking display than Huawei Mate X2, because although it has a bit lower 1284 x 2778 resolution and a bit smaller display, it also counts with a just a bit greater count of pixels per display inch. The Huawei Mate X2 has a much greater storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than iPhone 13 Pro Max, because it has more internal memory capacity.
IPhone 13 Pro Max features a little better processing power than Huawei Mate X2, because although it has less cores and 2 GB lesser RAM memory, it also counts with a 64 bits processor. Huawei Mate X2 counts with just a little bit longer battery performance than iPhone 13 Pro Max, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 4352mAh.
Huawei Mate X2 shoots much better pictures and videos than iPhone 13 Pro Max, because although it has a way tinier diafragm aperture and lower video frame rate, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Huawei Mate X2 also counts with a back facing camera with lot more MP.
