Huawei Mate X2 is a bit better than Huawei P20 Pro, with a global score of 89.1 against 81.4. Both of these devices have the same Android 10 OS (operating system), so both of them should provide you identical operating system features. Although the Huawei Mate X2 is extremely newer than Huawei P20 Pro, it is just a little thicker and a lot heavier.
Huawei Mate X2 counts with a slightly better screen than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has a really larger screen, a lot better resolution of 2200 x 2480px and a just a little greater display density. The Huawei Mate X2 has just a little better hardware performance than Huawei P20 Pro, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Huawei Mate X2 also has a higher amount of RAM.
The Huawei P20 Pro features a slightly better camera than Huawei Mate X2, because although it has a lower 40 mega-pixels resolution camera in the back and a lower video quality, it also counts with a larger camera aperture to capture better low light photos and video. Huawei Mate X2 counts with a much bigger storage to store more apps and games than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has 256 GB internal memory.
The Huawei Mate X2 has just a little better battery lifetime than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate X2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Huawei P20 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Huawei P20 Pro. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy Huawei P20 Pro, giving up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
