The Huawei Mate X2 has a score of 89.1, which is better than the Huawei P40 Lite's 79.5 global score. Both of these devices come with the same Android 10 operating system. The Huawei Mate X2 is a newer and a little thinner phone than Huawei P40 Lite, but it is a lot heavier. Huawei Mate X2 features a slightly better display than Huawei P40 Lite, because it has a bigger screen, a lot better resolution of 2200 x 2480 and a just a little higher pixels quantity in each inch of screen.
Huawei Mate X2 has a much bigger storage to install games and applications than Huawei P40 Lite, because it has 128 GB more internal storage capacity. Huawei Mate X2 has a little faster processor than Huawei P40 Lite, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate X2 also has more RAM.
Huawei Mate X2 takes just a bit better photos and videos than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, it also counts with a camera in the back with a higher 50 megapixels resolution and a way higher (4K) video quality. The Huawei Mate X2 counts with just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Huawei P40 Lite, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 4200mAh.
Although Huawei Mate X2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Huawei P40 Lite. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the Huawei P40 Lite, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most out of your money.
