The Huawei Mate X2 has a global score of 89.1, which is just a bit better than Xperia XZ2 Premium's general score of 82.2. Even though Huawei Mate X2 is noticeably heavier than Xperia XZ2 Premium, it's thinner and much newer. Huawei Mate X2 has just a bit better performance than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Huawei Mate X2 also has a greater amount of RAM.
Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a much better looking screen than Huawei Mate X2, because although it has a really smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 2160 x 3840px and a lot higher pixels quantity per inch in the display. Huawei Mate X2 has a quite bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity.
Huawei Mate X2 captures clearer pictures and videos than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because although it has a tinier camera aperture, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video quality, the Huawei Mate X2 also counts with a back facing camera with a much higher resolution.
The Huawei Mate X2 features better battery life than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 3540mAh.
Although Huawei Mate X2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium. If you want to save some dollars, you can get Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, and give up some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
