Both of these devices use the same Android 10 operating system, so both should give you all the same OS features. Although Huawei Mate X2 and Xiaomi Redmi 9T were released with only a couple of months difference, Huawei Mate X2's construction is much heavier but also thinner.
The Huawei Mate X2 features a little better performance than Xiaomi Redmi 9T, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Huawei Mate X2 also has 4 GB more RAM. Huawei Mate X2 has a little bit better looking screen than Xiaomi Redmi 9T, because it has a little bit better screen pixels density, a bigger display and a way higher resolution of 2200 x 2480 pixels.
The Huawei Mate X2 has just a bit better camera than Xiaomi Redmi 9T, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for capturing images and/or video in low light situations, it also counts with a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a back facing camera with a better 50 megapixels resolution.
The Huawei Mate X2 features a quite bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi 9T, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. The Xiaomi Redmi 9T counts with longer battery duration than Huawei Mate X2, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity.
