Galaxy M40 is much better than the Huawei Mate X3, getting a global score of 85 against 74.7. The Galaxy M40 works with Android 10 OS, while Huawei Mate X3 comes with HarmonyOS 3 OS. Galaxy M40 is a notably older and incredibly thicker device than Huawei Mate X3, but Samsung was able to make it a lot lighter anyway.
Galaxy M40 features just a bit better screen than Huawei Mate X3, although it has a bit smaller screen, a bit worse pixels count in each inch in the screen and a lot lower 1080 x 2340px resolution. The Samsung Galaxy M40 has a very superior processing unit than Huawei Mate X3, although it has less RAM, they both have 8 cpu cores.
Huawei Mate X3 captures a little bit better photos and videos than Galaxy M40, because although it has a tinier camera aperture, and they both have the same video quality, the Huawei Mate X3 also counts with faster video frame rates and a back facing camera with much more megapixels. The Galaxy M40 has slightly more storage capacity for games and applications than Huawei Mate X3, because although it has only 128 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB.
Huawei Mate X3 has a much longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy M40, because it has 4800mAh of battery capacity against 3500mAh.
