Xiaomi Mi Max is slightly better than the Huawei Mate X3, with a overall score of 77.5 against 74.7. Even though Xiaomi Mi Max is noticeably older and a lot thicker than Huawei Mate X3, it's design is still somewhat lighter. The Xiaomi Mi Max counts with a much more powerful processing unit than Huawei Mate X3, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor.
Xiaomi Mi Max and Huawei Mate X3 both count with extremely similar displays, although the Xiaomi Mi Max has a just a little lower display density, a little bit smaller display and a much lower 1080 x 1920 resolution. Huawei Mate X3 counts with a much better camera than Xiaomi Mi Max, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Huawei Mate X3 also has a larger aperture to take better images and videos in low light environments, better 60 frames per second video frame rates and a back facing camera with lot more megapixels.
Huawei Mate X3 counts with just a bit bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi Max, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity. Xiaomi Mi Max and Huawei Mate X3 both count with extremely similar batteries, although the Xiaomi Mi Max also has 4850mAh of battery capacity instead of 4800mAh.
