Huawei Mate Xs is much better than the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, having a global score of 91.6 against 78.1. Even though Huawei Mate Xs is noticeably newer than the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, it's a lot heavier and way thicker. The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has a slightly better looking display than Huawei Mate Xs, although it has a really smaller display, a way worse resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a little lower screen pixel density.
The Huawei Mate Xs features just a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because it has a higher amount of RAM memory and a larger number of cores (and faster). The Huawei Mate Xs features a lot bigger storage for applications and games than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because it has more internal memory capacity.
The Huawei Mate Xs captures much better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Huawei Mate Xs also has a bigger aperture for better photos and video in poorly lited environments, a much more megapixels camera in the back and a much bigger sensor which offers a much better photo and video quality.
Huawei Mate Xs features just a little better battery life than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because it has an 18 percent greater battery size.
