Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is a little bit better than Huawei nova 2 Plus, getting a 75.8 score against 74.2. Both of these phones include Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has 8.0 Oreo version while Huawei nova 2 Plus has Android 7.0 Nougat, so it provides a couple additional features. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is a just a little heavier and somewhat thicker phone than the Huawei nova 2 Plus.
Huawei nova 2 Plus has a little bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. The Huawei nova 2 Plus has a bit better looking screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, although it has a bit worse 1080 x 1920px resolution, a little bit less pixels per inch of screen and a little smaller display.
The Huawei nova 2 Plus captures a little bit better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, a 12 MP resolution back facing camera and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Huawei nova 2 Plus also has a bigger aperture for better photography in poorly lited environments.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and Huawei nova 2 Plus both count with really similar memory capacity for games and applications, both have an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB and equal 64 GB internal storage. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro counts with greater battery duration than Huawei nova 2 Plus, because it has a 20% more battery capacity.
