The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE is just a bit better than the Huawei nova 2, having a global score of 75.9 against 74.2. The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE construction is newer, but somewhat heavier and a bit thicker than the Huawei nova 2. Xiaomi Mi 8 SE comes with Android operating system, while Huawei nova 2 comes with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE takes a bit better pictures and videos than Huawei nova 2, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for taking photos in low-light environments, and they both have a same resolution camera in the back, the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE also counts with a way higher video resolution.
