Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has an overall score of 75.8, which is slightly better than Huawei nova 2's 74.2 overall score. These phones use Android OS (Operating System), but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has the newer 8.0 Oreo version and Huawei nova 2 has Android 7.0 Nougat, giving you a couple nice extra features and a performance increase. Although it's the best cellphone we are comparing here, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro design is thicker and way heavier than the Huawei nova 2.
The Huawei nova 2 features just a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, although it has 2 GB lesser RAM, they both have 8 CPU cores. The Huawei nova 2 features a bit more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because although it has a bit smaller screen and a little bit lower 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, it also counts with a bit higher number of pixels per inch in the display.
Huawei nova 2 features a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have a 12 megapixels resolution back facing camera, the same 1920x1080 video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Huawei nova 2 also has a larger aperture to capture better low light captures and video.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and Huawei nova 2 have extremely similar memory capacity to store more games and applications, both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage capacity and a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 128 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro counts with greater battery performance than Huawei nova 2, because it has a 36 percent bigger battery size.
