The Huawei Mate X is better than Huawei nova 5T, getting a general score of 89.4 against 80.8. The Huawei Mate X is a way heavier and thicker phone than the Huawei nova 5T. These devices come with Android operating system, but the Huawei Mate X has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Huawei nova 5T has Android 10 version.
The Huawei Mate X counts with a bit sharper screen than Huawei nova 5T, because it has a larger screen, a just a bit more pixels per display inch and a lot higher resolution of 2200 x 2480. The Huawei Mate X counts with a much greater storage for games and applications than Huawei nova 5T, because it has 512 GB internal storage.
Huawei Mate X features a bit more powerful CPU than Huawei nova 5T, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Huawei Mate X also has a higher amount of RAM. Huawei Mate X has greater battery performance than Huawei nova 5T, because it has a 4500mAh battery size. Huawei nova 5T has a very superior camera than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a tinier back camera sensor which offers a worse image and video quality, and they both have a same size aperture, the Huawei nova 5T also counts with a higher 48 mega pixels resolution back facing camera.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more than Huawei nova 5T, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei nova 5T. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Huawei Mate X, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Huawei nova 5T, resigning a couple specifications.
