The Huawei Mate X2 is better than the Huawei nova 5T, with an 89.1 score against 80.8. Although Huawei Mate X2 is newer than the Huawei nova 5T, it is just a bit thicker and noticeably heavier. Both of these phones use the same Android 10 OS, so you shouldn't see any difference regarding that. Huawei Mate X2 counts with a bit more vivid display than Huawei nova 5T, because it has a larger screen, a just a little more pixels per inch of screen and a much higher resolution of 2200 x 2480.
The Huawei Mate X2 features a little better hardware performance than Huawei nova 5T, and although they both have 8 cores, the Huawei Mate X2 also has a larger amount of RAM memory. The Huawei Mate X2 has a superior memory capacity for games and applications than Huawei nova 5T, because it has more internal memory.
The Huawei Mate X2 features superior battery performance than Huawei nova 5T, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity. Huawei nova 5T counts with a bit better camera than Huawei Mate X2, because although it has a worse 3840x2160 video definition and a worse 48 megapixels resolution camera, it also counts with a larger aperture to take better low-light photos.
Although Huawei Mate X2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Huawei nova 5T, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei nova 5T. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Huawei Mate X2, else you can save some money and buy the Huawei nova 5T, letting go a couple features and specs.
