Comparison review
The Huawei nova 5T is slightly better than the Huawei P40 Lite, having an 80.8 score against 79.5. The Huawei nova 5T body is just a bit lighter and just a bit thinner than the Huawei P40 Lite, although both of them were released only a few months apart. Both of these devices work with the same Android 10 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't see any difference in that aspect.
Huawei nova 5T features a slightly better looking screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a quite better 1080 x 2340 resolution and a just a little more pixels per display inch. The Huawei P40 Lite has as much memory for applications and games as the Huawei nova 5T, both of them have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage.
Huawei nova 5T counts with just a little better performance than Huawei P40 Lite. Both have a 6 GB RAM memory and a Octa-Core processor. The Huawei P40 Lite counts with a bit longer battery life than Huawei nova 5T, because it has a 4200mAh battery size. Huawei nova 5T takes just a bit better photos and videos than Huawei P40 Lite, and although they both have a F1.8 aperture, a 48 mega pixels resolution back camera and a same size camera sensor, the Huawei nova 5T also has a lot better video definition.
Although Huawei nova 5T is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei P40 Lite. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Huawei P40 Lite, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most with your savings.
