These phones include Android OS (operating system), but Microsoft Surface Duo 2 has newer 11 version and Huawei nova 5T has Android 10 version, offering some additional features and performance optimizations. Although Microsoft Surface Duo 2 is heavier than the Huawei nova 5T, it's way thinner and incredibly newer.
