Huawei Nova 9 has an overall score of 81, which is a bit better than the Galaxy M12's 80 overall score. These phones use Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei Nova 9 has newer 11 version and Galaxy M12 has Android 10 version. The Huawei Nova 9 design is somewhat thinner and extremely lighter than Galaxy M12, although both of them were released with only 7 months difference.
Huawei Nova 9 features a much better screen than Samsung Galaxy M12, because it has a way higher resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, a little larger display and a higher pixel density. The Galaxy M12 features a much bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Huawei Nova 9, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD card slot that supports a maximum of 1 TB.
Huawei Nova 9 features a bit superior processing unit than Samsung Galaxy M12, and although they both have 8 cores, the Huawei Nova 9 also has more RAM. The Galaxy M12 has a much longer battery life than Huawei Nova 9, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity instead of 4300mAh. Huawei Nova 9 shoots slightly better videos and photos than Galaxy M12, because it has a camera in the back with more MP, a lot higher 3840x2160 video resolution and a bigger aperture for better low-light captures.
