Samsung Galaxy M30 is just a bit better than the Huawei Nova 9, getting an 82.4 score against 81. Both phones we are comparing here include Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy M30 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Huawei Nova 9 has Android 11 version, so it counts with a couple additional features and performance tweaks. Despite of the fact Samsung Galaxy M30 is much older and a bit thicker than Huawei Nova 9, it's construction is still a bit lighter.
Huawei Nova 9 has a little bit better performance than Galaxy M30, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Huawei Nova 9 also has a greater amount of RAM memory. Galaxy M30 counts with a display that is just as good as Huawei Nova 9's screen, because although the Galaxy M30 has a little bit smaller screen and a bit lower 1080 x 2280 resolution, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per screen inch.
Huawei Nova 9 counts with a way better camera than Galaxy M30, and although they both have the same diafragm aperture, the Huawei Nova 9 also has a much better 3840x2160 video quality and a lot better 50 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera. Galaxy M30 has a much greater storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei Nova 9, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal memory, the Galaxy M30 also has a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy M30 has greater battery duration than Huawei Nova 9, because it has a 16 percent greater battery capacity.
