Comparison review
Xperia 5 III is much better than the Huawei Nova 9, getting a score of 90.5 against 81. Even though the Xperia 5 III and Huawei Nova 9 were only released with a couple months difference, Xperia 5 III's construction is a little bit thicker but also just a little lighter. Both phones in this review have the same Android 11 operating system, so you shouldn't perceive any differences regarding operating system features.
The Sony Xperia 5 III features a little bit better screen than Huawei Nova 9, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a bit higher 1080 x 2520 resolution and a just a little better display density. Xperia 5 III has a superior storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei Nova 9, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 1 TB and 128 GB more internal memory capacity.
Xperia 5 III counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Huawei Nova 9. Both of them have 8 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores. Xperia 5 III counts with just a little better battery lifetime than Huawei Nova 9, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity. Huawei Nova 9 takes just a bit better videos and photos than Xperia 5 III, because although it has worse video frame rate and a tinier camera aperture which is not recommended for low-light captures and video, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Huawei Nova 9 also counts with a camera with lot more MP.
