Both phones in this review come with Android OS, but the Huawei P Smart (2020) has newer 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has Android 12 version. The Huawei P Smart (2020) is a way older and just a little bit thicker device than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, but Huawei was able to make it lighter anyway.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro counts with just a bit better screen than Huawei P Smart (2020), because although it has a little less pixels per inch in the display, it also counts with a little bigger screen and a slightly better 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. Huawei P Smart (2020) counts with much more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Huawei P Smart (2020) also has an external memory slot that holds up to 512 GB.
Huawei P Smart (2020) features a way better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have 8 cpu cores.
