Samsung Galaxy M40 is better than the Huawei P smart S, having an 85 score against 77.2. Both phones in this review have the same Android 10 operating system. The Samsung Galaxy M40 is a a little heavier phone than Huawei P smart S, but both of them have the same thickness. The Huawei P smart S and the Galaxy M40 both count with extremely similar displays, and although the Galaxy M40 has a bit worse 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and a little bit less pixels per inch in the display, they both have a same size screen.
The Galaxy M40's CPU is just as good as the CPU in Huawei P smart S, and although the Galaxy M40 has 2 GB more RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Galaxy M40 features slightly more memory capacity for games and applications than Huawei P smart S, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory, the Galaxy M40 also has an external memory slot that supports up to 512 GB.
Huawei P smart S has just a bit better battery duration than Galaxy M40, because it has a 14 percent greater battery capacity. Samsung Galaxy M40 captures much clearer videos and photos than Huawei P smart S, because although it has a much worse 32 mega pixels resolution back camera, it also counts with a larger aperture to capture better low light photos and video.
