Comparison review
The Xiaomi Note 7 Pro has a score of 80.5, which is a bit better than Huawei P smart S's global score of 77.2. Even being the best in this review, we must note that it is also an older, a little thicker and heavier device. Both phones we compare here include Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Note 7 Pro has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Huawei P smart S has Android 10 version, so it gives some nice extra features.
Xiaomi Note 7 Pro's CPU is very similar to the processing unit in Huawei P smart S, and although the Xiaomi Note 7 Pro has a greater amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit. Huawei P smart S and Xiaomi Note 7 Pro both count with extremely similar screens, and although the Xiaomi Note 7 Pro has a little bit worse pixels density and a little bit worse 1080 x 2340px resolution, they both have a display of the same size.
The Xiaomi Note 7 Pro takes a lot better videos and photos than Huawei P smart S. They have the same resolution back-facing camera and a same size aperture. Huawei P smart S features a much greater storage for games and applications than Xiaomi Note 7 Pro, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Huawei P smart S also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB.
Xiaomi Note 7 Pro features a battery duration that's very similar to the battery performance in Huawei P smart S.
