Comparison review
Huawei Mate 8 is a little bit better than the Huawei P Smart Z, having a general score of 77.4 against 75.6. Although the Huawei Mate 8 is much older than the Huawei P Smart Z, it's body is a bit lighter and thinner. The Huawei Mate 8 counts with a bit better processor than Huawei P Smart Z. They have the same RAM amount and a Octa-Core CPU.
Huawei P Smart Z has a bit more vivid display than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a little bit better amount of pixels per inch in the screen, a bit bigger display and a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The Huawei Mate 8 shoots a little bit better photos and videos than Huawei P Smart Z, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for shooting photographs or videos in low-light situations, and they both have a same resolution back camera and the same 1920x1080 video resolution, the Huawei Mate 8 also counts with better video frame rate.
The Huawei Mate 8 features a bit more memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei P Smart Z, because although it has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits 384 GB smaller, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. The Huawei Mate 8 has a battery duration that's very similar to Huawei P Smart Z's battery duration.
