Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is just a bit better than Huawei P Smart Z, with a score of 75.8 against 75.6. Both phones in this review include Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has the older 8.0 Oreo version while Huawei P Smart Z has Android 9.0 Pie. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is an older phone than Huawei P Smart Z, but Xiaomi managed to build it a bit thinner and just a little lighter anyway.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro counts with a screen that is just as good as Huawei P Smart Z's screen, because although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has a bit smaller display and a bit lower 1080 x 2160 resolution, it also counts with a little bit better screen density. The Huawei P Smart Z counts with a little better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, although it has 2 GB less RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
Huawei P Smart Z features just a bit better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Huawei P Smart Z also has a camera with a much higher 16 mega pixels resolution and a larger diafragm aperture to take better low light photography and videos.
The Huawei P Smart Z counts with a quite bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Huawei P Smart Z also has a SD extension slot that holds up to 512 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro features a battery lifetime that's just as good as the Huawei P Smart Z one.
