Comparison review
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is just a bit better than Huawei P Smart Z, having a global score of 76.6 against 75.6. Both devices we compare here use Android OS, but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has 10 version while Huawei P Smart Z has Android 9.0 Pie. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 construction has the same thickness than Huawei P Smart Z, but it's just a little heavier.
The Huawei P Smart Z and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 have very similar displays, because although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a little smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1080 x 2340 resolution, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch of display. The Huawei P Smart Z counts with a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei P Smart Z also has a larger amount of RAM.
The Huawei P Smart Z has a greater storage capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage, the Huawei P Smart Z also has a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 512 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has superior battery lifetime than Huawei P Smart Z, because it has a 5020mAh battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 shoots much better pictures and videos than Huawei P Smart Z, and although they both have a F1.8 camera aperture, the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same (Full HD) video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a back camera with much more mega-pixels.
