The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a global score of 87, which is a bit better than Huawei P10 Plus's 79.8 overall score. The Samsung Galaxy A42 construction is noticeably newer, but somewhat heavier and incredibly thicker than Huawei P10 Plus. The Huawei P10 Plus has a little better performance than Galaxy A42, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei P10 Plus also has a higher amount of RAM memory.
The Huawei P10 Plus has a much more vibrant display than Galaxy A42, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a way better 1440 x 2560 resolution and much more pixels per inch in the display. The Galaxy A42 has a bigger memory to store more games and applications than Huawei P10 Plus, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Galaxy A42 also has a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 1000 GB.
The Galaxy A42 features superior battery life than Huawei P10 Plus, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity against 3750mAh. The Galaxy A42 captures better pictures and videos than Huawei P10 Plus, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution, a same size camera aperture and the same video frame rate, the Galaxy A42 also has a back camera with much more mega-pixels.
