Comparison review
The Xperia 5 II is just a bit better than the Huawei P10 Plus, getting a global score of 87.2 against 79.8. Xperia 5 II's design is much newer and a little bit lighter, but also thicker than Huawei P10 Plus. Sony Xperia 5 II has a bit superior processor than Huawei P10 Plus, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has a greater amount of RAM.
The Huawei P10 Plus counts with a bit better display than Xperia 5 II, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a little bit better number of pixels per inch of display. Sony Xperia 5 II has a much better camera than Huawei P10 Plus, and although they both have the same resolution back facing camera and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better low light photography and better 120 fps video frame rates.
