Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 8 has a score of 77.4, which is just a bit better than Huawei P20 Lite (2019)'s 76.5 score. Although Huawei Mate 8 is incredibly older and just a little bit heavier than Huawei P20 Lite (2019), it's body is still just a bit thinner. The Huawei Mate 8 features a bit more powerful CPU than Huawei P20 Lite (2019). Both of them have a Octa-Core processor and a 4 GB RAM.
Huawei P20 Lite (2019) features a little sharper screen than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a quite better display density, a quite better 1080 x 2310 pixels resolution and a little bit larger screen. The Huawei P20 Lite (2019) features slightly more storage for games and applications than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Huawei P20 Lite (2019) also has a SD extension slot that holds up to 256 GB.
The Huawei P20 Lite (2019) and the Huawei Mate 8 have extremely similar batteries. Huawei Mate 8 captures slightly better pictures and videos than Huawei P20 Lite (2019), because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for shooting images or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same (Full HD) video definition and a 16 megapixels resolution camera in the back, the Huawei Mate 8 also counts with better 60 fps video frame rate.
