The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a score of 87, which is better than the Huawei P20 Lite (2019)'s 76.5 score. Both phones in our current comparison work with Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy A42 has the previous 11 version while Huawei P20 Lite (2019) has Android 9.0 Pie version. Even though Samsung Galaxy A42 is newer than Huawei P20 Lite (2019), it is just a little bit thicker and a little bit heavier.
Huawei P20 Lite (2019) features a sharper display than Galaxy A42, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher pixel density and a way better resolution of 1080 x 2310. The Samsung Galaxy A42 counts with a better storage capacity to store more games and applications than Huawei P20 Lite (2019), and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also has a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 1000 GB.
